The Magic Hour is a metal bar structure placed on a mesa in Twentynine Palms, California. The shifting structure holds artworks, objects, ephemera, and gestures framed by the desert land and sky.

Organized by Alice Wang and Ben Tong, it is an experimental platform that hosts artists to contribute arrangements for the desert. Modular in design to allow for shifting configurations, each iteration of The Magic Hour will take place over the course of 10 weeks. At the end of each exhibition season, we will publish an accompanying artist book that will record the process.

The Magic Hour is open to the public from sunrise to sunset. For directions to the site, please email: the.magic.hr@gmail.com.

The metal structure made for The Magic Hour is co-produced by Dyson & Womack.
